Are you familiar with nautical terms, the local dialect, and everything related to oyster farming? Will you be able to navigate like true sailors to reach the different stages we choose according to the tides?
As the sole masters of your ship, your objective will be to find your way and try to win the trophy…
The principle
Accompanied by a professional sailor and a facilitator, each team receives a "logbook" which presents the different challenges to be met.
Coordinates, latitude, longitude, intersections of capes, your teams must orient themselves like real sailors to reach the different stages of the course where activities await them… Beyond the challenge of orientation and navigation, each stage is an opportunity to discover a little more of the cultural and natural riches of the Basin, while scoring points for the Trophy.
The logbook includes a questionnaire about the unique features and points of interest in the Arcachon Basin. To answer it, participants must draw upon their knowledge, deductive reasoning, observational skills, and communication abilities.
The aim is also for participants to interact with locals to solve various riddles. Preferred targets include sailors, oyster farmers, and boat captains, who readily play along…
